Ingredients from the Himalayas, stored at 900 meters , inspired by gods and demons - Amrut is Indian whiskey through and through. The ambitious distillers use small-grained and therefore sweeter Indian barley from the foot of the Himalayas, spring water from the mountains and Scottish peat malt for smoky variants for their globally successful single malts. The latter includes a new exclusive bottling for the German market.

Amrut 2015/2021 is a limited treat that offers an exciting perspective on India's single malt pioneer. Distilled according to the Scottish model, the Indian Single Malt Whiskey matured in a highly aromatic cask: Cask #4711 was filled with the Portuguese liqueur wine Madeira . High above sea level in Bangalore , tropical conditions allowed the peat-smoky distillate to interact intensely (around 3.5 times faster than in Scotland) with the fruity-infused wood. The complex result flowed with 60% vol. in only 200 of the noble bottles.
