Bladnoch Distillery is pleased to announce the latest addition to its 'Classic Collection' of Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whiskys. For the first time since the rebirth of Bladnoch under the stewardship of David Prior, we are introducing a peated whiskey to our range which we have dubbed 'Alinta'.

Nose: Smoky ice, delicately floral with sweet oak
Flavor: Campfire smoke, almonds, raisins with a white chocolate body
Finish: Long with sweet smoke

Bladnoch Alinta is a 2009 heavily peated distillate (still produced under the previous owners) matured in first fill bourbon casks and a new production (since 2017) heavily peated distillate matured in first fill PX sherry casks . Bottled, of course, without the addition of coloring and without chill-filtration, at a strength of 47%.

We would like to mention that the 2009 shares of the "Alinta" are really special. On the one hand they were produced with the old still, on the other hand this only happened once. Only a single batch of heavily peated malt was distilled by Bladnoch's then owners in 2009, making it truly a rarity. In combination with the new distillate matured in PX casks, the result is an impressive and multifaceted drop.
