On the west coast of the Isle of ARRAN lies a windswept and mysterious bog called " MACHRIE MOOR ". Stone circles and menhirs from the Bronze Age characterize the bare and gently rolling landscape. According to legend, the legend king Fingal tied his favorite dog Bran to one of these stones.
