The general rule for Smogen whiskeys is: They are powerful, strong wines with a clear smoky note, maritime hints and malty sweetness. The latest bottling is no exception.

The 90 Proof is distilled from heavily peated smoked malt , matures exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels and is distilled with regional spring water to a characterful 51.4% vol. diluted.
Incidentally, proof does not refer to the American scale, but to the British system, i.e. “degrees proof [sikes]” . How come? Pär Caldenby explains this on his news blog.
