origins
A careful selection of distillates from Barbados' unique terroir. The intention of the master blender is to present the typicality of this terroir in perfect balance, thanks to the richness and intensity of the molasses distillation in pot stills, combined with the delicacy and lightness of the sugar cane distillation in columns.
maturation
The selected rums mature mainly for 3 years in American white oak barrels that previously contained bourbon. The aging takes place in Barbados, taking advantage of the heat and the specific hygrometry of the island, which give the future rum a unique oxidation, accelerating the aging and concentrating the aromas.
blending
The aged rums now travel across the ocean to France to be blended by cognac master Jérôme Tessendier. His intention is to reveal the character of the Barbados terroir thanks to a unique technique, blending the different batches according to their different aromatic profiles: floral, fruity and spicy.
processing
The blend then rests in mature medium-grain French oak barrels in Jarnac (France) for a total of 24 months to extract lightly toasted and spicy aromas. As a final touch, the rum is aged in fine-grain French oak casks to create a delicious and harmonious finale. The rum is then gradually reduced to 46%. No sugar is added.
tasting notes
The nose opens with aromas of banana and roasted mango, which are refined by subtle, spicy vanilla. In the mouth it is fine and round. A powerful and long-lasting finish makes this rum a great experience.
