It consists of 70% rum from El Salvador that has matured for six years and 30% Jamaican blends and is bottled with an alcohol content of 40.5%. The whole thing is then macerated for 48 hours with whole lightly roasted coffee beans (medium roast). The coffee beans are grown on the slopes of the Santa Ana volcano in El Salvador, which is one of El Salvador's first Protected Origin coffee bean growing regions . In addition to the notes of tropical and dried fruits, as well as the caramel notes that the Ron Colón Salvadoreño High Proof Dark Aged Rum brings with it, the Ron Colon Salvadoreno Coffee Infused High Proof range of flavors is expanded to include coffee, cherry, chocolate and honey aromas created by the maceration.
