The fresh Portuguese STR Barrique (a red wine cask that has been specially reconditioned) is the counterpoint to the Bourbon Cask. These STR casks, for which Kingsbarns Distillery is known, have a particularly fruity and spicy character and are also used in Kingsbarns "Dream to Dram" (10% share).

“Heavy, nutty and flavorful with clove and gingerbread spice. On the palate hazelnut, roasted almond, plum with ginger and red grapes. In the finish mouth-filling with creamy toffee notes.”
